Did you know?
The Gelpaks that AFM tips are stored in have a shelf life. Since many suppliers of AFM probes are actually distributors and not manufacturers, their probes are stored for extended periods. Any period of time longer than 12 months can allow the Gelpak to degrade and render the tips useless. Next time you buy probes, ask how long the probes have been on the shelf.
